The company HangApp manufactures mobile accessories and is located on a boatyard next to the Swedish lake Mälaren.
How it started
The idea for hangapp came after my partner, who works in the boating industry, dropped countless mobile phones in the water. First there was the function itself, not to drop it in the water and to be able to use it easily. After that, it became natural that the design grew out of the marine life.
Development
Then came the idea to collaborate with artists to produce interchangeable parts depending on the occasion and clothing. After that to also let musicians design their hangapps. What will happen next?
All products from HangApp are created in Sweden.
The collaborations with artists and designers
HangApp collaborates with various artists and designers. The idea is to be able to renew the range all the time, without changing the base product. Only limited collection will be offered from respective artist/designer. They are handmade by these amazing artists/designers so can differ slightly. This means that there is only 1 exclusive.
